Healing Roles Depending On Physicians

Healing roles depending In the thirty-ninth year of his rule, he got a very bad foot disease, but he relied on doctors and refused to ask the Lord for help. 2 Chronicles 16:12 Healed of leprosy The Lord told Moses to say to the people: After you think you are healed of leprosy, you must ask for a priest to come outside the camp and examine you. And if you are well,  he will have someone bring out two live birds that are acceptable for sacrifice, together with a stick of cedar wood, a piece of red yarn, and a branch from a hyssop plant. Healing roles depending The priest will have someone kill one of the birds over a clay pot of spring water.

Then he will dip the other bird, the cedar, the red yarn, and the hyssop in the blood of the dead bird. Next, he will sprinkle you seven times with the blood and say, “You are now clean.” Finally, he will release the bird and let it fly away. After this you must wash your clothes, shave your entire body, and take a bath before you are completely clean.

You may move back into camp, but you must not enter your tent for seven days. Healing roles depending Then you must once again shave your head, face, and eyebrows, as well as the hair on the rest of your body. Finally, wash your clothes and take a bath, and you will be completely clean. On the eighth day you must bring to the priest two rams and a year-old female lamb that have nothing wrong with them; also bring a half pint of olive oil and six pounds of your finest flour mixed with oil. Then the priest will present you and your offerings to me at the entrance to my sacred tent. There he will offer one of the rams, together with the pint of oil, as a sacrifice to make things right. He will also lift them up to show that they are dedicated to me. Healing roles depending This sacrifice is very holy.

It belongs to the priest and must be killed in the same place where animals are killed as sacrifices for sins and as sacrifices to please me. Healing roles depending The priest will smear some of the blood from this sacrifice on your right ear lobe, some on your right thumb, and some on the big toe of your right foot. He will then pour some of the olive oil into the palm of his left hand, dip a finger of his right hand into the oil, and sprinkle some of it seven times toward the sacred tent. Next, he will smear some of the oil on your right ear lobe, some on your right thumb, and some on the big toe of your right foot, Healing roles depending and pour the rest of the oil from his palm on your head. Then he will offer the other two animals—one as a sacrifice for sin and the other as a sacrifice to please me, together with a grain sacrifice. After this you will be completely clean.

If you are poor and cannot afford to offer this much, you may offer a ram as a sacrifice to make things right, together with a half pint of olive oil and two pounds of flour mixed with oil as a grain sacrifice. The priest will then lift these up to dedicate them to me. Depending on what you can afford, you must also offer either two doves or two pigeons, one as a sacrifice for sin and the other as a sacrifice to please me. Healing roles depending The priest will offer these to me in front of the sacred tent on the eighth day. The priest will kill this ram for the sacrifice to make things right, and he will lift it up with the olive oil in dedication to me. Then he will smear some of the blood on your right ear lobe, some on your right thumb, and some on the big toe of your right foot. The priest will pour some of the olive oil into the palm of his left hand, then dip a finger of his right hand in the oil and sprinkle some of it seven times toward the sacred tent.

He will smear some of the oil on your right ear lobe, some on your right thumb, and some on the big toe of your right foot, just as he did with the blood of the sacrifice to make things right. And he will pour Healing roles depending the rest of the oil from his palm on your head Then, depending on what you can afford, he will offer either the doves or the pigeons together with the grain sacrifice. One of the birds is the sacrifice for sin, and the other is the sacrifice to please me. After this you will be completely clean. Healing roles depending These are the things you must do if you have leprosy and cannot afford the usual sacrifices to make you clean. When Mildew Is in a House

The Lord told Moses and Aaron to say to the people: After I have given you the land of Canaan as your permanent possession, here is what you must do, if I ever put mildew on the walls of any of your homes.  First, you must say to a priest, “I think mildew is on the wall of my house.” The priest will reply, “Empty the house before I inspect it, or else everything in it will be unclean.” If the priest discovers greenish or reddish spots that go deeper than the surface of the walls, he will have the house closed for seven days. Then he will return and check to see if the mildew has spread. If so, he will have someone scrape the plaster from the walls, remove the filthy stones, then haul everything off and dump it in an unclean place outside the town. Afterwards the wall must be repaired with new stones and fresh plaster. If the mildew appears a second time, the priest will come and say, “This house is unclean. Healing roles depending It’s covered with mildew that can’t be removed.”

Then he will have the house torn down and every bit of wood, stone, and plaster hauled off to an unclean place outside the town. Meanwhile, if any of you entered the house while it was closed, you will be unclean until evening. And if you either slept or ate in the house, you must wash your clothes. Healing roles depending On the other hand, if the priest discovers that mildew hasn’t reappeared after the house was newly plastered, he will say, “This house is clean—the mildew has gone.”

Then, to show that the house is now clean, he will get two birds, a stick of cedar wood, a piece of red yarn, and a branch from a hyssop plant and bring them to the house. He will kill one of the birds over a clay pot of spring water and let its blood drain into the pot. Then he will dip the cedar, Healing roles depending the hyssop, the yarn, and the other bird into the mixture of blood and water.

Next, he will sprinkle the house seven times with the mixture, then the house will be completely clean. Finally, he will release the bird and let it fly away, ending the ceremony for purifying the house. These are the things you must do if you discover that you are unclean because of an itch or a sore, or that your clothing or house is unclean because of mildew. Leviticus 14:1-57 The Great Healer The Lord forgives our sins, heals us when we are sick, and protects us from death. Psalm 103:3 Healing blind, deaf, dumb, lame The blind will see, Healing roles depending and the ears of the deaf will be healed. Those who were lame will leap around like deer; tongues once silent will begin to shout. Water will rush through the desert. Isaiah 35:5-6 No balm in Gilead If medicine and doctors may be found in Gilead, why aren’t my people healed? Jeremiah 8:22 Decisive healing You, Lord, are the one I praise.

So heal me and rescue me! Then I will be completely well and perfectly safe. Decisive healing Jeremiah 17:14 Useless remedies Egypt, no medicine can heal you, not even the soothing lotion from Gilead. Jeremiah Jeremiah 46:11 Isaiah’s prophecy of healing That evening many people with demons in them were brought to Jesus. And with only a word he forced out the evil spirits and healed everyone who was sick. Healing roles depending So God’s promise came true, just as the prophet Isaiah had said, “He healed our diseases and made us well.” Matthew 8:16-17 He suffered and endured great pain for us, but we thought his suffering was punishment from God. Isaiah 53:4 Relationship of illness to sin Jesus got into a boat and crossed back over to the town where he lived. Healing roles depending Some people soon brought to him a crippled man lying on a mat. When Jesus saw how much faith they had, he said to the crippled man, “My friend, don’t worry! Your

sins are forgiven.” Some teachers of the Law of Moses said to themselves, “Jesus must think he is God!” But Jesus knew what was in their minds, and he said, “Why are you thinking such evil things? Is it easier for me to tell this crippled man that his sins are forgiven or to tell him to get up and walk? But I will show you that the Son of Man has the right to forgive sins here on earth.” So Jesus said to the man, “Get up! Pick up your mat and go on home.” The man got up and went home. When the crowds saw this, they were afraid and praised God for giving such authority to people. Matthew 9:1-8 Double healing While Jesus was still speaking, an official came and knelt in front of him. The man said, Healing roles depending“ My daughter has just now died! Please come and place your hand on her.

Then she will live again. ”Jesus and his disciples got up and went with the man. A woman who had been bleeding for twelve years came up behind Jesus and barely touched his clothes. She had said to herself, “If I can just touch his clothes, I will get well.” Jesus turned. He saw the woman and said, “Don’t worry! You are now well because of your faith.”At that moment she was healed. When Jesus went into the home of the official and saw the musicians and the crowd of mourners,  he said, “Get out of here! Healing roles depending The little girl isn’t dead. She is just asleep.” Everyone started laughing at Jesus. But after the crowd had been sent out of the house, Jesus went to the girl’s bedside.

He took her by the hand and helped her up. News about this spread all over that part of the country. Matthew 9:18-26 Authority over illness Jesus called together his twelve disciples. He gave them the power to force out evil spirits and to heal every kind of disease and sickness. Matthew 10:1 While the man kept holding on to Peter and John, the whole crowd ran to them in amazement at the place known as Solomon’s Porch. Healing roles depending Peter saw that a crowd had gathered, and he said: Friends, why are you surprised at what has happened? Why are you staring at us? Do you think we have some power of our own? Do you think we were able to make this man walk because we are so religious? The God that Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and our other ancestors worshiped has brought honor to his Servant Jesus.

He is the one you betrayed. You turned against him when he was being tried by Pilate, even though Pilate wanted to set him free. You rejected Jesus, who was holy and good. You asked for a murderer to be set free, and you killed the one who leads people to life. But God raised him from death, and all of us can tell you what he has done. You see this man, and you know him. He put his faith in the name of Jesus and was made strong. Faith in Jesus made this man completely well while everyone was watching. Acts 3:11-16 Arms, legs replaced Everyone was amazed at what they saw and heard. Healing roles depending People who had never spoken could now speak. The lame were healed, the crippled could walk, and the blind were able to see. Everyone was praising the God of Israel. Matthew 15:31 Epilepsy caused by demon Jesus and his disciples returned to the crowd.

A man Healing roles depending knelt in front of him and said, “Lord, have pity on my son! He has a bad case of epilepsy and often falls into a fire or into water. I brought him to your disciples, but none of them could heal him.” Jesus said, “You people are too stubborn to have any faith! How much longer must I be with you? Why do I have to put up with you? Bring the boy here.” Then Jesus spoke sternly to the demon. It went out of the boy, and right then he was healed. Later the disciples went to Jesus in private and asked him, “Why couldn’t we force out the demon?” Jesus replied: It is because you don’t have enough faith! But I can promise you this. If you had faith no larger than a mustard seed, you could tell this mountain to move from here to there. And it would. Everything would be possible for you. Matthew 17:14-21

Healing increased popularity of Jesus Jesus led his disciples down to the shore of the lake. Large crowds followed him from Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. People came from Idumea, as well as other places east of the Jordan River. They also came from the region around the cities of Tyre and Sidon. All of these crowds came because they had heard what Jesus was doing.  He even had to tell his disciples to get a boat ready to keep him from being crushed by the crowds. After Jesus had healed many people, the other sick people begged him to let them touch him. Mark 3:7-10 Faith lacked for healing But Jesus said, Healing roles depending

“Prophets are honored by everyone, except the people of their hometown and their relatives and their own family.” Jesus could not work any miracles there, except to heal a few sick people by placing his hands on them. He was surprised that the people did not have any faith. Healing roles depending Jesus taught in all the neighboring villages Mark 6:4-6 Fever rebuked Jesus left the meeting place and went to Simon’s home. When Jesus got there, he was told that Simon’s mother-in-law was sick with a high fever. So Jesus went over to her and ordered the fever to go away. Right then she was able to get up and serve them a meal. Luke 4:38-39 Healing power emerged from Jesus Everyone was trying to touch Jesus, because power was going out from him and healing them all. Luke 6:19

Emphasizing healing above Healer At that time Jesus was healing many people who were sick or in pain or were troubled by evil spirits, and he was giving sight to a lot of blind people. Jesus said to the messengers sent by John, “Go and tell John what you have seen and heard. Blind people are now able to see, and the lame can walk. People who have leprosy are being healed, and the deaf can now hear. The dead are raised to life, and the poor are hearing the good news. Healing roles depending God will bless everyone who doesn’t reject me because of what I do.” Luke 7:21-23

Illness caused by spirit One Sabbath, Jesus was teaching in a Jewish meeting place, and a woman was there who had been crippled by an evil spirit for eighteen years. She was completely bent over and could not straighten up.  When Jesus saw the woman, he called her over and said, “You are now well.” He placed his hands on her, and right away she stood up straight and praised God. The man in charge of the meeting place was angry because Jesus had healed someone on the Sabbath. So he said to the people, Healing roles depending“ Each week has six days when we can work. Come and be healed on one of those days, but not on the Sabbath.”

The Lord replied, “Are you trying to fool someone? Won’t any one of you untie your ox or donkey and lead it out to drink on a Sabbath? 16 This woman belongs to the family of Abraham, but Satan has kept her bound for eighteen years. Isn’t it right to set her free on the Sabbath?” Luke 13:10-16 Long wait for healing Later, Jesus went to Jerusalem for another Jewish festival. Healing roles depending In the city near the sheep gate was a pool with five porches, and its name in Hebrew was Bethzatha.

Many sick, blind, lame, and crippled people were lying close to the pool. Beside the pool was a man who had been sick for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw the man and realized that he had been crippled for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to be healed?” The man answered, “Lord, I don’t have anyone to put me in the pool when the water is stirred up. I try to get in, but someone else always gets there first.” Jesus told him, “Pick up your mat and walk!” John 5:1-8

Purpose for sickness When Jesus heard this, he said, "His sickness won’t end in death. It will bring glory to God and his Son." John 11:4 Misunderstood healing of lame man In Lystra there was a man who had been born with crippled feet and had never been able to walk. The man was listening to Paul speak, when Paul saw that he had faith in Jesus and could be healed. So he looked straight at the man and shouted, "Stand up!" Healing roles depending The man jumped up and started walking around. When the crowd saw what Paul had done, they yelled out in the language of Lycaonia, "The gods have turned into humans and have come down to us!"

The people then gave Barnabas the name Zeus, and they gave Paul the name Hermes, because he did the talking The temple of Zeus was near the entrance to the city. Its priest and the crowds wanted to offer a sacrifice to Barnabas and Paul. So the priest brought some bulls and flowers to the city gates. When the two apostles found out about this, they tore their clothes in horror and ran to the crowd, shouting: Why are you doing this? We are humans just like you. Please give up all this foolishness. Turn to the living God, who made the sky, the earth, the sea, and everything in them. In times past, God let each nation go its own way. But he showed that he was there by the good things he did. Healing roles depending God sends rain from heaven and makes your crops grow. He gives food to you and makes your hearts glad.

Even after Paul and Barnabas had said all this, they could hardly keep the people from offering a sacrifice to them. Acts 14:8-18 Miracles in Paul’s ministry God gave Paul the power to work great miracles. Healing roles depending People even took handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched Paul’s body, and they carried them to everyone who was sick. All of the sick people were healed, and the evil spirits went out. Acts 19:11-12 Church sleeper restored A young man by the name of Eutychus was sitting on a window sill. While Paul was speaking, the young man got very sleepy. Finally, he went to sleep and fell three floors all the way down to the ground. When they picked him up, he was dead. Paul went down and bent over Eutychus. He took him in his arms and said, "Don’t worry! He’s alive." Acts20:9-10

Healing roles depending omitted among gifts A body is made up of many parts, and each of them has its own use. That’s how it is with us. There are many of us, but we each are part of the body of Christ, as well as part of one another. God has also given each of us different gifts to use. If we can prophesy, we should do it according to the amount of faith we have. Romans 12:4-6 Because of Christ Jesus, I can take pride in my service for God. 18 In fact, all I will talk about is how Christ let me speak and work, so that the Gentiles would obey him. 19 Indeed, I will tell how Christ worked miracles and wonders by the power of the Holy Spirit. I have preached the good news about him all the way from Jerusalem to Illyricum. Romans 15:17-19 Priority of healing ministry First, God chose some people to be apostles and prophets and teachers for the church.

But he also chose some to work miracles or heal the sick or help others or be leaders or speak different kinds of languages. 29 Not everyone is an apostle. Not everyone is a prophet. Not everyone is a teacher. Not everyone can work miracles. 30 Not everyone can heal the sick. Not everyone can speak different kinds of languages. Not everyone can tell what these languages mean.

I want you to desire the best gifts. Healing roles depending So I will show you a much better way. 1 Corinthians 12:28-31 Prayer for healing, no answer Of course, I am now referring to the wonderful things I saw. One of Satan’s angels was sent to make me suffer terribly, so that I would not feel too proud. Three times I begged the Lord to make this suffering go away. But he replied, "My kindness is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak." So if Christ keeps giving me his power, I will gladly brag about how weak I am. Yes, I am glad to be weak or insulted or mistreated or to have troubles and sufferings, if it is for Christ. Because when I am weak, I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:7-10

Praying for sick If you are having trouble, you should pray. And if you are feeling good, you should sing praises. 14 If you are sick, ask the church leaders to come and pray for you. Ask them to put olive oil on you in the name of the Lord. 15 If you have faith when you pray for sick people, they will get well. Healing roles depending The Lord will heal them, and if they have sinned, he will forgive them. James 5:13-15
