Childhood Roles Helpless Infants

Childhood roles He prayed: I am your servant, Lord, so why are you doing this to me? What have I done to deserve this? You’ve made me responsible for all these people, but they’re not my children. You told me to nurse them along and to carry them to the land you promised their ancestors. Numbers 11:11-12

Child’s calling  Samuel served the Lord by helping Eli the priest, who was by that time almost blind. In those days, the Lord hardly ever spoke directly to people, and he did not appear to them in dreams very often. But one night, Eli was asleep in his room, and Samuel was sleeping on a mat near the sacred chest in the Lord’s house.

They had not been asleep very long  when the Lord called out Samuel’s name. “Here I am!” Samuel answered. Then he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am. What do you want?” “I didn’t call you,” Eli answered. “Go back to bed.

”Samuel went back. Again the Lord called out Samuel’s name. Samuel got up and went to Eli. “Here I am,” he said. “What do you want? ”Eli told him, “Son, I didn’t call you. Go back to sleep.” The Lord had not spoken to Samuel before, and Samuel did not recognize the voice. Childhood roles When the Lord called out his name for the third time, Samuel went to Eli again and said, “Here I am. What do you want? Eli finally realized that it was the Lord who was speaking to Samuel. So he said, “Go back and lie down! If someone speaks to you again, answer, ‘I’m listening, Lord. What do you want me to do?’ ”Once again Samuel went back and lay down.

The Lord then stood beside Samuel and called out as he had done before, “Samuel! Samuel!” “I’m listening,” Samuel answered. “What do you want me to do?”1 Samuel 3:1-10 Wild donkey’s colt but it’s easier to tame a wild donkey than to make a fool wise. Job 11:12

Childhood training Listen, Israel! The Lord our God is the only true God! So love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and strength. Memorize his laws and tell them to your children over and over again. Talk about them all the time, whether you’re at home or walking along the road or going to bed at night, or getting up in the morning. Childhood roles Write down copies and tie them to your wrists and foreheads to help you obey them. Write these laws on the door frames of your homes and on your town gates. Deuteronomy 6:4-9 Childhood roles Teach your children right from wrong, and when they are grown they will still do right. Proverbs 22:6

Childhood memories When I was still very young and my mother’s favorite child, my father said to me: “If you follow my teachings and keep them in mind, you will live. Proverbs 4:3-4 Discipline in childhood All children are foolish, but firm correction will make them change. Proverbs 22:15 Street children while boys and girls play in the streets. Zechariah 8:5 Childhood same as slavery Children who are under age are no better off than slaves, even though everything their parents own will someday be theirs. Galatians 4:1

Childhood guardians This is because children are placed in the care of guardians and teachers until the time their parents have set. Galatians 4:2 Fickle childhood We must stop acting like children. We must not let deceitful people trick us by their false teachings, which are like winds that toss us around from place to place. Ephesians 4:14

Remnant childhood roles By now you should have been teachers, but once again you need to be taught the simplest things about what God has said. You need milk instead of solid food. People who live on milk are like babies who don’t really know what is right. Hebrews 5:12-13
